Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Thank you for your interest in submitting to The Journal of CTE Teacher Education. We are committed to publishing high-quality research, best practices, and innovations in the field of Career and Technical Education (CTE) teacher development. To ensure consistency and clarity in the review process, please adhere to the following guidelines when preparing your manuscript.

1. Manuscript Preparation

Manuscripts should follow standard academic journal conventions and be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format. Please use APA 7th Edition for all citations, references, and formatting.

Failure to disclose the use of AI in a submission may result in a manuscript being deemed non-compliant with journal policies and could lead to its rejection.

8. Review Timeline

Authors will receive a confirmation of submission within one week and can expect initial feedback within 8-12 weeks. Following peer review, manuscripts may be accepted, accepted with revisions, or rejected.

 

9. Publication Fees

Upon notification of manuscript acceptance, authors are required to pay a $100 publication fee. This fee supports the cost of maintaining the journal and disseminating the published research. Payment of this fee is required prior to final publication of the article. Waivers are available in return for serving as a peer reviewer for JCTETE.
